Patrick Robert Kelly

Died peacefully on April 15, 2015, the day after his 86th birthday

He was born April 14, 1929 in Conrad, Montana to Robert and Ruth Davidson Kelly, and was raised in Helena, Montana. 

Patrick received his undergraduate degree from Carroll College and Master’s degrees from both Florida State University and the University of Notre Dame.  He served in the US Marines.   He joined IBM Corporation in 1955, where he worked for 32 years retiring as Manager of Strategic Planning in 1988.  Pat started a part-time career, and joined the faculty of the Lubin Business School at Pace University as an adjunct professor.    In 1993, Pat began work as the Assistant Treasurer for the Paulist Missionary Fathers, a role which he kept until his retirement in December, 2014.

On July 26, 1958, Pat married Theresa (Terry) Cybulski in Cleveland Ohio.  They moved to Briarcliff Manor in 1964.  Pat was a devoted parishioner at St. Theresa’s church for over 50 years, serving as lector, on the finance committee and as parish trustee.   He was active in various community and school activities. For the past 18 years, Pat especially enjoyed weekly volunteer work at the Ossining Food Pantry.

Pat is survived by Terry, his loving wife of 57 years, their five children:  Kathleen (Gregg) Strunk, Eileen (Frank) Lass, Maureen (John) Ballock, Colleen (Ashish) Kishore and Michael (Heather) Kelly and fourteen grandchildren.  Pat was predeceased by a sister, Carol Kelly Boyd, and a son-in-law, James Capparella.   Pat is also survived by two brothers, Jack Kelly and Michael Kelly, sister-in-law Angie Domen, brother-in-law Bernard Cybulski and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was deeply loved and will be missed by all.

Calling Hours will be held on Friday, April 17th from 3-5 and 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian burial will held on Saturday, April 18 at 10am at St. Theresa’s Church, 1394 Pleasantville road, Briarcliff Manor NY 10510.
