I was the organizer that helped your dad get the house in order for sale. He became a wonderful friend of mine. We kept in touch after he moved to Ma. I received lovely notes from him. I will miss him very much. He truly touched my life and made it better during the time we worked together. I thank God he was brought into my life even for such a brief time. All my best to his family for their loss.

This is how I will always remember my Uncle:
- a man that was always more interested in what was going on with you,
- a smart man of little words, but when he spoke his stories were both entertaining and deep,
- a loving husband and father who made time to watch his son's football games,
- a man that loved to read the paper and magazines so he would be informed about the goings on in the world, and
- a man with a great smile and deep laugh that he willingly gave away.
I'll miss you Uncle Joe and I know that your wife Gloria is very happy to be reunited with you again!

Uncle (Big) Joe you will live on in our hearts and thoughts forever. The memories of Thanksgivings and Christmases in the house on Morningside Drive, the sweet smell of your pipe, and your words of wisdom live on. The icy driveway and you teaching me how to back up without smashing into the other cars parked there live on. The joy of your 90th Birthday Party shared with friends and family live on. Thanks for the joy and helping shape our lives!

Theodore (Ted), Audra, and Mitchell Joseph Liswith

Big Joe, you made a big impact on all of us. We loved and appreciated your sensible approach to life, your good humor, your love of Tiramisu (and the search for the BEST Tiramisu in the Boston area), and most of all that twinkle in your eye that we were able to experience many times (so fun!). You will be missed, and we will love you always and forever. xo, Lisa and Sophie
