Dear Dorothy and family,

We were saddened by the sudden death of your Mom. We go back so many decades of so many performances. She was a special person, not only in her musicianship but as a caring cultured woman. She will be missed by all who knew her.

To the whole terrific Duncan family who had the great, good fortune of being related to Janet. Janet could read your mind, get you to do what she wanted, and was usually right She taught me so much. She taught so many so much and remained our one and llonly Peter Pan, she never grew up!! It will be hard not to have Janet around for the rest of our lives I was defistated not to be able to be with you yesterday
My love to you all, Jill

Janet will be missed. She was part of our family at Christmas and at many celebrations having been one of Mom's best friends since their days teaching in the Ossining school system. My condolences to her family and friends.

The Duncan Family,
Your mother/grandmother/great grandmother was my first customer. I was the neighbor boy who sold her peat gathered from the woods in back of her house for $0.25 a bag. After I left Briarcliff we kept in touch - she visited us in Ithaca and toured Cornell. Janet was always so alive. I thought of her as a role model and am lucky to have known her.
