William (Billy) DeAngelis Obituary

William J. DeAngelis passed away of natural causes on April 30,2020. Born to John and Margaret DeAngelis on June 7,1945 in Ossining, NY. He was a long-time parishioner of St. Theresa’s Church in Briarcliff Manor, NY. Billy was a lifetime member of the Briarcliff Manor Fire Department, serving 56 years in the Engine company. He worked in shipping and receiving for many years before retireing in 2008 from Scarborough Manor, Ossining N.Y. He is survived by his sister, Nancy Williamson of Florida, brother James DeAngelis (Lori)of Cortlandt Manor, sister in law Anna DeAngelis of Montrose and pre-deceased by his brother John DeAngelis. He is also survived by his nephew, Justin DeAngelis (Allison), nieces, Karen Orlando (Chris), Michelle Bungo, Megan DeAngelis and fiancé Dan Simpson. Two great nephews,Alex Bungo and Andrew Orlando. Two great nieces Avery Bungo and Amelia DeAngelis. An aunt and uncle and many cousins. Billy was an avid sports fan of the N.Y. Yankees and N.Y. Giants.  He loved playing golf, and enjoyed horse racing, traveling to Maryland for the Preakness Stakes and Saratoga Race track for many years. Billy was an outgoing person with many friends, especially his neighbors, where he was considered the "Mayor" of North State Rd. Billy will be missed by all. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St Judes Children’s Hospital. Interment will be private at St. Augustine Cemetery, Ossining, NY.
