Norman Michael Gourdine

Norman, Michael Gourdine Norman Michael Gourdine was born November 4, 1962, to Harry Norman and Lola Mae Gourdine of Ossining New York – both his parents and his sister Denise Gourdine Moultrie proceeded him in death. During Michael’s formative years he attended all of the local schools – with Michael completing and graduating from Ossining High School 1980. Michael’s younger years-- he began his career as a teamster with local 456 Byram Concrete White Plains New York. Michael was a teamster for 25 plus years and during his career with Bryam Concrete – he was a driver, union members a union shop steward – and all-around mediator for his colleagues. Michael remained a teamster until his retirement in 2017. It was during the summer of 1991 where Michael and Denise began their friendship that turned into a romance and his life partner -- Michael and Denise loved traveling… the two travelled the world together touring the Caribbean and Europe. Michael and Denise remained together during his transition. Moreover, Michael was an avid fisherman and boater – He would drop his fishing pole in the water whenever and wherever he could. Michael had the opportunity to fish the waters around the world…but he would always come home to his favorite” fishing hole” the Long Island Sound in Mamaroneck N.Y. There he spent endless hours with family and friends boating, laughing and telling fishing stories. Everyone who knew Michael knew he was a kind, fun-loving and full of life. He was a good and loyal friend – He always had a minute to say hello and give a word of encouragement. On April 27, 2022, Norman Michael Gourdine transitioned at home. Michael leaves to mourn Denise Trotter his loving life partner, Anthony and Lakara Nixon his nephew and niece of Georgia. His beloved Aunt Yvonne Spencer, (Vonni) of Ossining, Alfred Trotter (Butch). His Godmother Maude Chambers of White Plains – Along with his cousins Lisa, Jeffrey and David Drumgold; however, last but certainly not least his two good buddies Darryl Chambers and Ross Williams. Michael will forever be loved and forever missed.
