Emilia Quinones - Maldonado

Emilia Quinones-Maldonado departed with the Lord on Friday, September 24th, 2021. She was 90 years old.   Emilia, also known as Doña Mili, was a true servant to her community & family. She was born on October 10th, 1931 in Peñuela, Puerto Rico born to Herminia Maldonado y Cristobal Quiñones. Emilia was married to her devoted husband Basilio Roman who predeceased her. They were married for 40 years. She is survived by her loving children: Elsa Roman (Elsie) of Puerto Rico, Iluminada Roman (Lumi) of Briarcliff Manor, her adoring 8 grandchildren; Jose J. Arce Jr., Japhet Arce, Johann Negron, Jannalee Garay, Omayra Negron, Jinary Cotto, Isarelis Negron, Carielis Negron, 18 great grandchildren; Jesus D. Martinez, Emilee Martinez, Jose J. Arce II, Giara L. Garay, Zoey J. Arce, Janita J. Arce, Jordan Garay, Jeseny L. Cotto, Adilia J. Arce, Jaidah J. Arce, Jaylinn J. Cotto, Damirelis N. Carmona, Paola N. Velez, Alexander O. Garcia, Xiomari Z. Garcia, Camila N. Irizarris, Kdalis Rosali, Isaac Rosali Jr. and 5 great-great grandchildren; Amiah Young, Jariah Young, Marilyn Martinez, Scarlett R. Romero, Amelia E. Arce. Emilia was a hospitable, energized, God fearing, loving, and caring person who held her family and friends very close to her heart. She was a devoted and determined business women who took care of her families every need. She was devoted to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. During her last years of her life, her great and great-great grandchildren kept her going. She will be dearly missed by all. Visitation will take place Monday, September 27th from 4pm – 8 pm at Waterbury & Kelly Funeral Home at 1300 Pleasantville Road, Briarcliff Manor, NY 10510. Service from 7-8 pm. On Tuesday September 28th, viewing from 10-11 Burial will follow at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, NY.
