Denise A. Ryan

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the tragic passing of Denise A. Ryan, 56, on October 25, 2020. Denise was born on May 31, 1964 to William and Carol Bulger. After graduating Ossining High School, Denise earned an Associate’s Degree from Tobe-Coburn School of Fashion Merchandising in Manhattan and began her fashion career in the Garment District. On February 12, 1994, she married the love of her life, Robert Ryan and after the arrival of their first child, left her career in fashion to devote her life to raising their three beautiful children. As the children grew up, Denise opened her own fundraising business, D. Fun Shops and would later hold various positions in the Mahopac School District. Denise is survived by her loving husband of twenty-six years, Robert, her three beloved children, Heather, Shane, and Preston, her loving mother, Carol Bulger, mother-in-law, Ann Ryan, sisters-in-law, Mary Beth (Christine) and Deborah, brotherin-law, John, her devoted Uncle Eugene and Aunt Kathy Buonanno and their family. She is predeceased by her father, Billy Bulger and father-in-law, William H. Ryan and her precious dog, Charlie. Denise loved spending any time she could with her children, family, and friends. Her greatest achievement in life was being a mother to her three “chickens.” She was a selfless person who adored her friends especially those from her childhood, “the fab five.” Denise will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, infectious personality, generosity, kindness and positive energy. She will be forever missed by those who were blessed to have known her. All services are private. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
