Anne Marie (Herlihy) Jones

Anne Marie Herlihy Jones died on Friday November 27th after a brief illness.  Anne was born on July 14, 1935 to William and Catherine Herlihy of North Tarrytown.  She attended local schools, then was married to Dexter Jones of North Tarrytown until his death in 2015.  Anne worked as a secretary at Pace University in Pleasantville until her retirement.  She was pre-deceased by her parents and her siblings Billy, Mary and Eileen.  She is survived by her devoted sister and brother-in-law Kathleen and Anthony Durante, and her brother-in-law Bill Jackson; her four children Kathleen Jones, Timothy Jones, Eileen Jones and Geraldine Tomasulo; her four grandchildren Lydia Mireles (Andrew), Devin Mireles, Kaelene Tomasulo and Paul Andrew Tomasulo; and numerous loving nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. 

Anne’s world revolved around her large extended family, and she will take thousands of happy memories of all those she loved to heaven with her.  All who loved her on earth will retain thousands of happy memories of this beautiful, classy Irish lady who was daughter, sister, friend, and most loving mother.  Anne will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  Her spirit lives on in the hearts and souls of all of her friends and relations.

Visitation will be held at Leach & Thomas Funeral Home on Wednesday December 2 from 9:00 to 11:00am.  Mass of the Christian Burial at St. Augustine’s RC Church in Ossining 11:30 am, followed by internment at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Sleepy Hollow, NY.
