Patrick Francis McLoughlin (Pat), age 77, entered into eternal rest on August 27, 2018. Patrick is survived by his devoted wife Maureen, his brother John, his son Patrick, his daughter Margaret, his daughter Maureen (Todd), his son John (Carrie), and his son Kevin (Susan), along with eleven cherished grandchildren: Anna, Aidan, Erin, Caelan, Brendan, Elise, Julia, Evelyn, Jack, Ryan, and Patrick. He was preceded in death by his son Terence and parents Patrick and Teresa McLoughlin. Pat was born on October 8, 1940 in the Bronx, New York, attended All Hallows High School, and graduated from Iona College. Pat and Maureen married on October 24, 1964 and raised their family in the Bronx, NY and Vienna, VA. They enjoyed their annual summers in East Quogue, NY. Pat had a long and distinguished career in federal service, retiring in 1995 as the Assistant Director of Internal Affairs for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms in Washington D.C. A lifelong baseball fan, Pat spent many seasons coaching teams in Pelham Bay, NY and Vienna, VA. Pat relished his role as “Pop” to his grandchildren, enjoyed countless family celebrations, and numerous vacations with family and friends. The family will receive family and friends at Waterbury and Kelly Funeral Home in Briarcliff Manor, NY on Thursday, August 30 from 4-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM on Friday, August 31 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Briarcliff Manor; Pat’s brother, Fr. John McLoughlin will be presiding. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in Vienna, VA at a later date. Memorial donations in memory of Pat can be made to Boys Town, www.boystown.org, a favorite charity of Pat’s.
