Marjorie A. Hohneker 98, formerly of Hawaii, Japan, Tenafly, NJ, Briarcliff Manor, NY, Pt. Pleasant, NJ, Boyton Beach, FL, Beacon, NY and most recently of Highland, NY passed away on March 15, 2019. Marjorie was born in the Bronx, NY on December 29, 1920 to the late Gordon and Mabel (nee Butts) Smith. She attended PS 7 elementary school and graduated from George Washington High School, and went on to attend Mt. Holyoke college. Marjorie enjoyed drawing art and reading books her entire life. Marjorie worked for a fashion designer in Manhattan. Marjorie was predeceased by her husband Henry Hohneker. Henry owned Hohneker’s Dairy in North Bergen, NJ. Marjorie is survived by her daughter Lesley (Anthony) Hohneker from Fishkill, NY, her grandchildren Daniel (Iliana) of Wappingers Falls, NY, Deanne (Corey) Anderson of Attleboro MA, her two great grandchildren Ofelia and Kaira and nieces, nephews and cousins. Marjorie always loved to travel and enjoyed spending time in the garden. Interment will be private at the Fairview Cemetery in New Jersey. In lieu of flowers donations to Reading is Fundamental would be appreciated.
