Vincent Anthony Saporito

Vincent Anthony Saporito was born June 14, 1926 in North Tarrytown, NY to Albert and Lucia (Gaudio) Saporito.  He attended local schools through High School.  He enlisted in the Army in 1943 and served as a drill instructor at Fort Dix, NJ until his honorable discharge in 1945.  On November 5, 1950 he married the love of his life, his wife, Anne Carpentieri at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Mount Vernon, NY.

They had 5 children whom they raised in Pelham, NY where they lived until 1995. 

Vincent was an entrepreneur who started and built several businesses during his long career including a Home Improvement Contracting Company in Westchester County, NY, a Dry Cleaners in Westchester and the Bronx, and a Card & Gift Shop in Pelham which variously provided jobs to his children and other family members.   At the end of his working life he was a Top Rated Sales Manager for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. 

Vincent was predeceased in 2017 by his wife of 67 years, Anne and in 2004 by his daughter Lisa Ann Cataldo.  He is survived by his children Diane (Joseph) Zeoli, Lucille (Kenneth) Murray, Nancy (Jorge) Colon and Vincent, Jr. along with 13 grandchildren Andrea, Jennifer, Melissa, Jessica, Jeff, Erica, Gregory, Stephen, Lianna, Danielle, Anthony, Alyssa, Matthew, their spouses and 13 great grandchildren all of whom he loved and enjoyed spending time with.  His faith and his family were the center of his life which is the legacy he left to his family.

Funeral Mass, Church of the Magdalene in Pocantico Hills, NY on Friday at 12 PM. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers donations in Vincent’s name to VVV Chapter 49 P.O. Box 224 Pleasantville, NY 10570 would be appreciated.
