Shi’na Monique McClam was called home at the early age of 32 on Wednesday December 23, 2020. She was born on September 11, 1988 in Sleepy Hollow New York to Tessie Cherry and the late Tyrone McClam.
Shi’na accepted Christ at a young age in her life and was baptized at The Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church, Ossining NY. She was raised in Ossining NY.
Shi’na was educated in the Ossining Union Free School District and graduated in 2006. Following graduation, she went to work for Atria in Briarcliff Manor NY and bartend at the Corinthian Lodge in Ossining NY. Later, she decided to further her education at Sanford-Brown Institute in White Plains NY where she completed The Certified Medical Assistant Program in 2009. Then she went to work for Bethel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Croton NY and during her free time she volunteered at The Ossining Community Action Program up until the Lord called her home.
On August 9, 2009 she was introduced to Donsche Mims and out of their relationship they had one child: Kennedy Mims. She was a loving partner, devoted mother, proud Aunt, caring Sister, and Daughter.
Shi’na was known for her Kindness, advice, dancing, comic ways, caregiver in and out of work and most of all a huge smile that would brighten up any room she stepped in, Shi’na was the life of the party.
Shi’na leaves to cherish her memories her mother Tessie Cherry (Roxy); her Pride & Joy daughter Kennedy Mims; One brother Darryl Evans (Tammy); her partner Donsche Mims; one sister Tyra Gresham; two nieces Indya and Cali Evans; four Aunts Debbie Cherry (Gary), Penny Taylor (Michael-predeceased), Gwendolyn Norman and Patricia Turner (Joe); four Uncles Frank Cherry, Jerry McClam, Tommy McClam (Elizabeth) and Timothy McClam (Tamika); three God Parents George Thorton, Lesia Ford and Hope Dancey; A crew she considered her sisters for LIFE and a host of cousins and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at the Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church at 10 AM. Interment, Dale Cemetery, Ossining, NY to follow.
