John Sacchi was born on May 30, 1928 to Anna and Joseph Sacchi. He was educated in the Bronx graduating from Roosevelt High School in 1944. He attended Fordham University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in 1948. In 1950 he was drafted into the US Army for the Korean War and served his tour in Europe earning the rank of sergeant. After discharge, he resumed his education at the Fordham University College of Pharmacy earning his pharmacy degree in 1956. He would go on to work in various pharmacies throughout Westchester County for the next 56 years. In 1953 he met the love of his life, Claudine Cocuzza at a church dance in the Bronx. They were married on April 28, 1957 and lived in Larchmont and Mamaroneck. They would move to Ossining in 1961 where they raised 4 children. In 1990, he lost the love and light of his life, Claudine, at aged 56. For the rest of his years, he enjoyed the company of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed playing tennis, cooking, tending to his yard and exercising at Club Fit in Briarcliff. He is survived by his children, John, Robert, Glenn and Denise, his daughters-in-law Patricia Sacchi, Amy Sacchi, son-in-law Anthony Consaga, 5 grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew, Patricia, Ethan and Seth, and 2 great-grandchildren, Madilyn and Roger.
