Enrique Caro

Enrique Caro was born on December 21, 1930 in Rincon, Puerto Rico and passed away on January 19, 2021 at the age of 90. He lived in Gt. Barrington, MA with his beloved wife Ida.  He raised his family of 7 children in Bronx, New York.  He had thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  

Enrique was a man who wore many hats.  He lost his parents in his early teens and became a father figure to his younger siblings.  Leaving school and working to provide for them with the goal of keeping the family together.  He was a successful businessman acquiring his own grocery store. He was a teacher stressing the importance of hard work and the value of money.  A craftsman who made everything with love, pride and with joy.  No matter how long it took him, he always strived for perfection.  He loved gardening and working in the woods where he spent most of his time.  His knowledge, love of history and his life experiences, made him a great story teller.  Most of all he was a man you can count on no matter what.  He greeted you with open arms, with a smile that let you know everything was going to be alright. Services will be private with Interment at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye, NY.
