On March 28th, Elizabeth M. (Betty) DiDomizio, 91, formerly of Ossining, NY passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Betty was born on Sept. 15, 1931 to the late John and Mary (nee Mellilo) Krinsky in Mahwah, NJ. She grew up in Port Chester, NY and she graduated from Port Chester High School and the Wilfred Beauty Academy. In June of 1954, Betty married the love of her life Barney DiDomizio. They settled in Barney’s hometown of Ossining, where they raised their family, and they eventually retired in Queensbury, NY. Anyone who knew Betty recognized how devoted and kind she was to her family and friends. She was an avid sports fan as well as a great cook. Betty was predeceased by her husband Barney in 2014 and her daughter Joanne Palmiotto in 2013. Betty is survived by her children Rosemary (Daniel) Sherman of Ossining, NY, Stephen J. DiDomizio of Cortlandt Manor, NY, Robert J. (Maureen) of Queensbury, NY, her brother John Krinsky of Port Chester, NY, and her four grandchildren: Jill E. (Miles) Carter of Norwood, MA, Daniel V. (Kali) Palmiotto of Silver Spring, MD, Amanda L. DiDomizio and Christopher J. DiDomizio of Cortlandt Manor, NY. To Betty’s great joy, she was blessed with three great grandchildren: Nora Joanne Carter, Claire Evelyn Carter and soon to be Baby Girl Palmiotto, expected to arrive in May of 2023. Betty is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Reposing, Leach & Thomas Funeral Home on Saturday, April 1st, from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM. No services on Sunday. Funeral Mass, St. Ann’s Church, Ossining, NY on Monday, April 3rd at 10 AM. Interment, St. Augustine Cemetery, Ossining, NY to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty’s name to St. Ann’s Church, 25 Eastern Ave, Ossining, NY 10562 would be appreciated.
