Long-time resident of Ossining, William (Bill)  Hunt, aged 97, died in Briarcliff Manor on Friday, November 25th of natural causes. Bill was predeceased by his loving wife, Aileen Hunt.  He was deeply loved by his children, Barbara, Thomas (deceased), and Scott Hunt, as well as his four grandchildren and a great grandchild. Bill was a sheet metal worker who spent the last part of his career at Highland Sheet Metal in Ossining, NY, before retiring in 1988. Subsequently, he and Aileen volunteered to help create the Ossining Food Pantry, where he continued to volunteer for many years after its inception.  For that work, Bill was inducted into the Westchester County Senior Citizens Hall of Fame in 2007.  Bill was also involved in other charitable works in the community, many of which were accomplished through his long-term membership at St. Paul's on the Hill Church. A memorial service will be held at the St. Paul's Campus of Grace Church 40 Ganung Drive Ossining, NY on February 4th at 11 AM.  Any donations in Bill's name can be made to The Ossining Food Pantry.
