William Cassese passed away peacefully on April 25, 2022 at the age of 82.  Son of the late Harry and Jane Cassese, he was born and raised in the Bronx, eventually moving to Nanuet, NY.  A lifelong Yankees and NY Giants fan, he loved to reminisce and share funny stories about growing up in the Bronx and New York City.  He enjoyed a career of over 20 years in transportation as a Teamster, making many friends along the way.  Bill is predeceased by his loving wife, Mary Dora, and four brothers.  He is survived by his son William Thomas, sisters Ellie and Loretta, nieces, nephews, and several sisters and brothers-in-law both here and in Ireland.  He was loved by many and will be missed greatly. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 28th from 4-8pm at Leach & Thomas Funeral Home, 45 S. Highland Ave., Ossining, NY 10562.  The Funeral Mass will take place Friday, April 29th at 11am in the Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 West Stevens Ave., Hawthorne, NY 10532. Interment to follow.
