Theresa Ann Englert Choolfaian,59, died April 3, 2015 at Westchester Medical Center after a year long battle with cancer. Theresa was born January 15, 1956 in the Bronx, New York, the fifth daughter of Edward and Harriet Englert. She attended St. Raymond's Catholic Grammar School and graduated from Cardinal Spellmen High School. She attended Catherine Gibbs Secretarial School and was a highly skilled legal secretary. She went on to achieve her BBA from Iona college and subsequently received her MS in Education from Mercy College in order to pursue her lifelong dream of being an elementary school teacher. She worked for many happy years at St. Mark's Lutheran School in Yonkers, New York. Theresa embraced life with enthusiasm and spirit, appreciated and loved her family and friends and pursued her dreams and aspirations with determination. She loved spending time with her friends and family on the beach.She is survived by her devoted husband Gary John Choolfaian, beloved daughter Jennifer Lee Choolfaian, her adoring sisters Elizabeth Pollard, Helen Hogan and Harriet Loehmann along with her many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and life-long friends. Visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday, April 7,2015, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at St. Theresa's Church, Briarcliff Manor, N.Y. Entombment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y.
