We are sad to announce the passing of our beloved mother, Sherry Dahle.

Sherry, 88, of Greenwich, CT, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025. She was the adored mother of Michael Dahle (Bridget), Bradford Dahle, and Jennifer Scott (Jonathan), and precious grandmother of Emma Scott, Cameron Scott and Griffin Dahle. Sherry was the heart of our family.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and her family were her pride and joy.  Her unconditional love, kindness, joyful laugh and spiritual strength was an inspiration to us all.

She is survived by her children, grandchildren and two brothers, Robert Pierce (Mary) and Ronald Pierce (Karen), and her nieces and nephews on both the Pierce and Dahle sides of the family. She was predeceased by her parents, Clifton and Etta Mae Pierce.

Sherry had a strong faith in God and was a long-time member of Stanwich Congregational Church in Greenwich.  She loved to sing, worship, attend bible-study and her "sisterhood" of friends.  She took volunteer trips to an orphanage in Russia through Stanwich church.  She was involved with many church choirs over the years, as well as local singing groups like the Old Mill Singers.

She enjoyed a career spanning over 30 years as a secretary in the Ossining school district.  First in Claremont school and finishing at Ann M Dorner middle school.

She was born in Sayre, PA on January 19, 1937 and moved to Binghamton, NY when she was 7 years old.  A lifelong love of music started early when she learned to play the piano and organ as a little girl. She was an accomplished pianist and organist, and a very good singer.  She attended Harpur College until she graduated in 1959. She and her family eventually settled in Briarcliff Manor, NY where they lived in the Chilmark neighborhood.  After many years in Briarcliff Manor she moved to Ridgefield, CT, then ultimately Greenwich.

To celebrate Sherry's life there will be a wake on Thursday, October 30, 2025 from 4-8pm at Waterbury & Kelly funeral home located at 1300 Pleasantville Rd, Briarcliff Manor, NY 10510.  A funeral service of celebration and remembrance will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025 at 10:00 am at Stanwich Congregational Church, 202 Taconic Road, Greenwich, CT 06831.
