Shane Doebel, 25, of Pleasant Valley, NY passed away on October 13, 2011. He was born November 8, 1985 to Audrey Filippi of Carmel, NY and Ray Doebel of North Carolina. Shane was a graduate of Arlington High School and attended Westchester Community College. He was currently employed at County Marking in Hawthorne, NY. Shane was a very smart and gifted young man who always did everything to perfection. He enjoyed being with family and loved the attention from his younger cousins. Shane was an avid Ranger Fan and loved to play ice hockey himself. He dedicated his time at the roller rink in Ossining, NY to coach and play with the guys as well. Shane shared his love for animals by volunteering his time at the Ulster County Humane Society. He will be deeply missed by all his aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him tremendously. Shane is survived by his mother Audrey, father Roy, his sister Nicole and brother Christopher, grandfather Robert Filippi and he is predeceased by his grandmother Lillian Filippi.

Donations can be made in honor of Shane's memory to OYHA (Ossining Youth Hockey Association), 1858 Pleasantville Road, #165, Briarcliff Manor, NY 10510.

A memorial mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 24, 2011 at 10 AM, St. Ann Church, 25 Eastern Ave., Ossining, NY. Interment to follow Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
