Rose Modica, a resident of Ossining passed away on Oct.19, 2016. She was born on Jan.15, 1918 in Yonkers, NY to Giuseppe and Anna (Paparo) Tomaselli. On June 20, 1948, she married her loving husband Salvatore at St. Mary's Church in Yonkers, NY. They were married for 44 years. Mr. Modica predeceased his beloved wife on Feb. 9, 1992. She is survived by her loving children, Jean (Michael) Ferrara, John (Eleonora) Modica, Stephen (Joan) Modica, and Carol (John) DiDomenico. Adored grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers Louis and Anthony Tomaselli, and her sister Mary Montalbano. The family will receive friends on Sunday, Oct. 23, 2016 from 2 to 8 PM at Ossining Funeral Home, 45 S. Highland Ave., Ossining. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Oct. 24, 2016 at 10 AM at St. Ann's Church, 25 Eastern Ave., Ossining. Interment to follow Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hastings-on-Hudson.
