Robert J. Wiese of Verplanck, NY passed away on August 23, 2019. He was 73 years old. He was born in Peekskill, NY to Joseph and Irene Wiese.  Robert was a lifelong resident of Verplanck and a Hendrick Hudson High School graduate. He was a Vietnam War veteran who served the Army's 27th Engineer Battalion (Tiger Battalion). He retired from IBM after a 30 year career. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed golfing, fishing and the NY Mets. He is survived by his wife Eileen, daughters , Dena (Debbie) and Kristen (Kevin) O'Connor, grandsons Vincent and Jason O'Connor, brother, Joseph (Fran) Wiese, sister in laws, Betty Jean O'Mara, Maureen (Charlie) Eichler, Marlene Harkins-Senik, brother in law, Arthur (Krissy) Harkins and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother in laws, Harold O'Mara and William Senik. Reposing, Sunday, August 25, 2019 from 3-7 PM at the Waterbury & Kelly Funeral Home.  A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 AM Monday, August 26, 2019 at St. Patrick's Church in Verplanck, NY. Interment will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Verplanck, New York. In lieu of flowers, donations may be in his honor to the Support .woundedwarriorproject.org.
