Saying goodbye to a loved one in never easy, so we won't say goodbye we'll say l'll see you later. Today we gather not only to grieve but to celebrate a loving life that touched so many. Ranelle was someone she brought light into our lives, it's difficult to express how deeply she will be missed.
Ranelle Redd 43 years old, transitioned into her afterlife on February 22nd, 2025, in Poughkeepsie NY. Ranelle was born at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Sleepy Hollow, NY to her mother Andrea Redd, father Toussaint Rascoe on December 14 th1981. From the very beginning she was known for her infections smile and dimples. Ranelle had a smile so bright it could light up any room.
Growing up Ranelle was so loving, silly, helpful and competitive. She could be put up against any challenge and sure enough she'll get the job done. She loved listening to music, you could always catch her singing, and dancing. Ranelle was introduced to Christ at an early age where she attended Star Betlehem Baptist Church in Ossining, NY followed by several other churches along the years. Ranelle graduated from Ossining High School is 1999. After graduating high school Ranelle attended BOCES to join their Nursing program In Spring Valley Ny, where she received her LPN certification in June 2011, which landed her many opportunities for her Nursing career. Ranelle started her first nursing job at Atria assisted living, followed by Skyview nursing home, and Optum Medical for 10 gears as an Orthopedic Nurse where she was promoted to Patient Care Manager in 2023 and then become a Care Coordinator at Premier Medical Group in 2023 until her transition.
Throughout Ranelle life, she formed many meaningful relationships. She always had a way of making people feel special, any room she walked in she left an impression on everyone. Ranelle was known for being the life of the party ensuring to create laugher, a lifetime full of memories which mostly includes her parents, stepmother, grandmother, aunt, uncles, sibling, a ton of cousins, friends, and of course her pride and joy her beautiful, intelligent, strong daughter Trinity Yevette Ridenhour. Ranelle welcomed Trinity into the world on March 13th, 2004. She cherished and looked at Trinity as her most prize possession. Always known for being a loving dedicated mother. Ranelle was Trinity's number one cheerleader cheering her on for all of her milestones and accomplishments, showing up no matter how big or small the occasion was.
When we think of Ranelle these words come to mind beautiful, wise, determined, and caring. These words only begin to describe the remarkable person that she was. Each of us have our own memories of how Ranelle shared her love, humor and wisdom with.
Ranelle leaves behind her Mother Andrea Redd, Father Toussaint Rascoe, Daughter Trinity Ridenhour, Brother Layon Redd, Sister's Lauren Redd, Latcka Rascoe, Zanya Rascoe, Grandmother Luesta Hankins, Niece's Belle Blackwell, McKenzie Blackwell. ZaNy Rascoe, Paige Blackwell, Nephew Azir Luesta, Aunt Lynette Redd-Perry, Hope Dancy, Cousin's, Lavanne Dancy, Olajuwon Dacy, Shatique Dancy, Quameisha Fulwood, Dashanna Fulwood and a host of family and friends.
Prior to Ranelle's passing predeceased family members were her grandparent's Hermon (Bookie) Rascoe, Charles Redd. Mamie Redd, Aunt Margret Opie, Uncle's Fred Opie, Keith Redd, and Kevin Redd who was very special to her.
More than anything Ranelle was special she mattered; she lived a life of meaning that impacted many of our lives that will never be forgotten.
We will all miss Ranelle dearly but most importantly we will carry her name and memories in our hearts forever.

My super woman was Ranelle Redd; the strongest and toughest of God's soldiers. My rock like many of us, you had to get through her to get to me! She was so brave, so bold and so kind. A beauty of a lifetime! The smile of a thousand stars, the laugh of the finest symphonies. An iconic woman devoted to God and her family, she will never be forgotten! After every dark night there's a brighter day!

A visitation will be held at the Leach & Thomas Funeral Home from 9 AM to 11 AM on Friday, March 7, 2025. A funeral service will follow at 11AM at the Leach & Thomas Funeral Home on Friday, March 7, 2025. Interment will follow at the Dale Cemtery, Ossining, NY.
