Peter Francis Madatto of Hartsdale, New York, passed away on April 15th, 2016.  He was born in Calabria Italy on December 12, 1926 to the late Richard Madatto and Rose Licursi Madatto.  On October 18th, 1952, Peter married the 'love of his life' Margaret Bianco at Mt. Carmel Church in Mt. Vernon.  He is predeceased by his beloved wife Margaret and his sister Carol Martinelli.  Peter is survived by his loving sister, Josephine Pugliese and numerous nieces and nephews.

Peter worked for over forty years as a typesetter for Harper Brothers Publishers in New York City.  He was very proud of the various ad slogans he prepared for magazines and newspapers.     A life long devout Catholic, Peter was active in Our Lady  of Victory Church in Mt. Vernon and later in Our Lady of Mt.Carmel Church in Elmsford.  He was an honored member of the Knights of Columbus Society. Taking the train into NYC everyday, Peter had some free time before reporting to work.  He chose to spend that time attending daily Mass at St Patrick's Cathedral.

Uncle Pete's family wishes to express our sincere gratitude to Caroline Layrea. Caroline spent the last three years attending to Uncle Pete's every need.  Pete was devoted to Caroline.  We are very thankful for Caroline's sincere, gentle and patient kindness to our Uncle and Brother.
