Mildred Barreiro - 94, a longtime resident of Ossining passed away on July 28, 2024.

Millie was a retired civil servant who worked for the Village of Ossining. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Augustine's Church.  She was very active in the Church's annual festival and the Golden Eagles seniors' group.

Millie is survived by her loving family. Her children: Deborah Ansary (Samir), Joseph Barreiro (Carol), Michael Barreiro (Christopher Perrone), and Mark Barreiro (Bill Roney); her two grandchildren John Barreiro (Casey) and Kendall Barreiro; and great grandchildren Finley and Donal.  Her loving husband Joseph, known as Pepe, predeceased in 2012.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, August 2, 3-8pm at Leach & Thomas Funeral Home, Ossining. Funeral Mass on Saturday, August 3, 10am at St. Augustine's Church. Interment at St. Augustine's Cemetery.

Donations to St. Augustine's Golden Eagles, (seniors' group):  Since Millie was so instrumental in making the Golden Eagles so effective, donations in her memory can be sent to St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church (address above).  Checks should be made out to: "St. Augustine Church."
