Michael L. Mannix, 65, formerly of Briarcliff Manor, N.Y. passed away on August 30th at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA after a long battle with heart disease. Michael was born on November 30th, 1952 in Flushing, Queens in New York City, the 3rd of 7 children to Maureen and James M. Mannix Jr. He graduated from Briarcliff High School in 1971 and received his B.A. from Fordham University. He served in the United States Air Force Reserves and was an active volunteer in the Republican party and many Catholic charities and programs. He is survived by his sister Patricia J. Shea of Carmel, N.Y. and brother Thomas W. Mannix of Southborough, MA. He was preceded in death by sisters Maureen and Nancy and brothers James and John. Visitation, Waterbury & Kelly Funeral Home on Friday 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass, Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery on Saturday 10 AM. Interment to follow.
