Mario Conte of Ossining passed away on October 24, 2018. He was 56. Mario worked as a Court Officer and Constable for the Town of Ossining. He was born July 28, 1962 in Sassinoro, Italy to Modestino and Vera Tracanna Conte. He was a 1980 Graduate of Ossining High School. Locally he was a thirty three year member of the Ossining Auxiliary Police currently serving as Sergeant, active member of Ossining Hose Co of the Ossining Fire Dept., Columbus Lodge and the Elks Lodge. Mario is survived by his parents, one brother Frank, daughter Sabrina, stepson Carlos, former spouses Sally and Veronica, one niece and two nephews. His sister Dora passed away on September 26, 2018. Calling hours at the Waterbury & Kelly Funeral Home, 45 S.Highland Avenue, Ossining on Sunday October 28th from 2:00 to 6:00 pm. Funeral Mass St. Augustine Church, Ossining on Monday at 10:00am. Interment following at St. Augustine Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to the St. Jude Children's Hospital.
