Marilyn Therese Remy, 89, of Briarcliff Manor, New York died peacefully on June 16th, 2024 after a brief illness.

Marilyn was born on February 13th, 1935 to Mae and John Guidera in Rochester, New York and was raised in Saddle River and Englewood, New Jersey. She graduated from Ramsey High School and attended St. Elizabeth's University in Morristown, New Jersey.

On September 11th. 1954 she married Bruce Talbot Remy. They had two children Suzanne Elizabeth and Bruce Talbot, Jr.

She lived a healthy, happy, and vibrant life. Marilyn spent many years volunteering at Phelps Memorial Hospital and was a longtime member of Sleepy Hollow Country Club in Scarborough, New York.

She was a champion tennis player and in later years enjoyed bridge with her friends. She spent time in Naples, Florida and her vacation home in Lake St. Catherine, Vermont.

By far, her greatest pleasure in life was being with her family. She was the best mother, grandmother, and great grandmother that a family could ever hope for. She was at every special event, sports game and celebration.

After her husband died in 1996, her son, her daughter and her family all moved in together and enjoyed a multigenerational family home. Marilyn was an amazing cook and prided herself in preparing home cooked meals every day. She loved to garden and made the pool a showcase of beautiful potted plants and surrounding grounds.

Marilyn will be remembered for her elegant style, hospitality, generosity, kindness, and loving heart. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 40 years, Bruce, her parents Mae and John Guidera, and her sisters Jean and Barbara. She is survived by her sister Gerri (Tony), daughter Suzanne (Scott) of Briarcliff Manor, her son Bruce Jr., of Briarcliff Manor, her grandchildren Scott Jr, Rhett, Jessica (Keith), Melissa (Sandro), her great grandchildren Sandro, Lorenzo, and Isabella, many nieces and nephews and her loving caretaker Merry Torres.

Visitation will be held at Waterbury & Kelly Funeral Home. 1300 Pleasantville Road, Briarcliff Manor, New York on Tuesday June 18th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday June 19th at 10:00am at St. Theresa's Church. 1394 Pleasantville Road, Briarcliff Manor, New York.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
