Marguerite Allmeyer 78, of Ossining, NY.

Born in Mt. Vernon, Marge grew up in the Bronx where she was an avid student graduating from Evander Childs High school with honors, CUNY college with honors and finally with a masters in psychology from Hunter College in 1983 also, with honors.  She minored in art and was a prolific photographer, bringing her camera everywhere from family vacations to just casual gatherings with friends.

During her studies at Hunter she met some guy named Dave who was also studying psychology on the East side of town.  A few years later they were married and relocated to Ossining, NY to escape their tiny studio apartment on East 65th street.

She was a lover of post impressionism, regional Italian wines (not Montepulciano), and the outdoors.  Her and Dave spent every summer camping or hiking and every winter on the slopes.  She overcame many of life's obstacles to achieve her happiness and her legacy will be one of resilience.  She was a trooper!

She is survived by her son Roland and her husband Dave. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-7 PM at the Leach & Thomas Funeral Home in Ossining, NY.
