Lucy M. Petruzzi of Ossining, NY passed away on Saturday, July 29,2023. A lifelong resident of Ossining, she resided at SkyView Nursing home the past two years.  She was 94 years old.

Lucy was born on October 27, 1928 to the late Angelo and Mary Palombo.  She was a graduate of Ossining High School where she proudly performed as drum majorette in the marching band.  After high school, she attended Miss Andrews Secretarial School in Ossining and was employed in various secretarial/administrative positions, her favorite of which was working in New York City's garment district.

On April 27, 1952, Lucy married her handsome sweetheart, WW II US Army veteran and decorated soldier, Conio J. Petruzzi at St. Ann's Church in Ossining, NY.  Always together and married for 48 years, Conio pre-deceased her in November 2000.

Lucy will be remembered as a loving wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with her family.  A prayerful person and devout Catholic, she had an unwavering love and devotion for St. Padre Pio.  Never letting go of the promise of Padre Pio, we are certain he was standing at the Gates of Heaven to welcome Lucy as one of his spiritual children.

Lucy is survived by her three daughters: Roxanne Hope (John Thomas) of Carmel, NY, Theresa P. Rolley (Joseph) of Doylestown, PA, and Pia M. Petruzzi-Vutera (David) of Ossining, NY; her grandchildren: Christina H. Eidel (Bryan), Ryan C. Hope (Lien), Robert J. Rolley, Luke D. Vutera, Gregory J. Vutera; her great-grandchildren: Oliana Thi Hong Hope and Adalyn Hope Eidel; her brother David J. Palombo.

She was predeceased by her son, Robert J. Petruzzi; siblings: Margaret Giordano, Carmine Palombo and Albert Palombo.

Reposing, Leach & Thomas Funeral Home on Friday from 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass, St. Ann's Church, Ossining, NY on Saturday 10 AM. Interment, Dale Cemetery, Ossining, NY to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution in Lucy's memory may be made to National Centre for Padre Pio, Barto PA or St. Jude's Research Hospital for Children.
