Lewis A. Weissmann 93, of Hawthorne, NY passed away peacefully with his family by his side on February 8, 2025. Lewis was born on June 19, 1931 in Callicoon Center, NY. Lewis proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He enjoyed camping, fishing, travelling, cooking and family get togethers. Lewis worked as a Nursery Man at Nable's Nursery in White Plains, NY. On January 23, 1971 Lewis married the love of his life Erika Viebrock who predeceased him. Lewis was also predeceased by his daughter Ellen (Viebrock) McCormick, his sisters Veronica, Mary, Lucille, Evelyn and his brother Peter. Lewis leaves behind his daughter Gerlinde Mullen, his grandsons Kevin Dosch, Keith Dosch, his sister Ruth Desimone as well as many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, loved him and enjoyed his many stories of years ago. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Church in Hawthorne, NY on Friday February 14, 2025 at 9:30 AM. Interment, Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, NY to follow. In lieu of flowers donations in Lewis's name to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
