She is survived by 11 nieces and nephews.  Sharon A. Nowak (Long Branch, NJ), Diane T. Nowak (Lincoln Park NJ), Karen Cranston O'Driscoll and her husband Kevin (Oxford, CT), Michael E. Nowak and his wife Beth (Oakhurst, NJ), Peter J. Nowak and his wife Stephanie (Mooresville, NC), Carole M. She is also survived by 17 great nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by parents George and Elena Stangle, Sister Barbara and husband Rodney Nowak and Sister Elaine and husband Ronald Cranston. She was a true & loyal friend to so many, always available with a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen. Leone's love of travel was sparked during a cross-country road trip after college graduation. Throughout her life, she was able to enjoy many international & domestic adventures with family, friends and her Lil' bear travel buddy "Gary".  The special bond she had with her "extended family "of friends was strengthened by passions including book club, tailgating, attending sporting events, concerts, and cooking together. She loved making her famous crabbies and cornbread casserole for everyone. She focused her life on her treasured family. "Sister" getaways and jaunts to NYC for a Broadway play or a parade were moments she adored. She cherished her summer family vacations at the Jersey Shore, Kiawah Island, SC and Cape May, NJ. Leone led life with a free spirit, an infectious smile and laughter. She taught us to embrace joy, have fun and live in the moment. Celebrating family holidays like Thanksgiving and Little Christmas brought her happiness and she was the life of the party at every wedding and family event.

Leone embodied her faith, was an active parishioner of St. Augustine Church and a servant of Christ. In 2016, she was honored with the Saint Augustine Spirit Award for her service. She shaped and impacted the lives of many students and families with her love, faith, compassion and hugs. She found beauty and peace in sunsets on the Hudson.  She will forever be remembered as everyone's "Aunt Leone' and a rainbow to everyone's cloud.
