Leonard H Hodgdon, a resident of Cortlandt Manor, NY passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on July 21, 2024.  He was 85 years old.

Born in Newburgh New York on February 28, 1939, the son of Thayne Hodgdon and Guyla (Byers) Hodgdon.

Leonard moved from Maine to New York in 1958 and for over 66 years he worked as auto mechanic owning his own business in Briarcliff Manor, NY until retiring in 2020

He was an avid car collector owning his first Chrysler 300 in 1960 from Rye Ford of which we still have 3 of them in the family.  Leonard belonged to The Mt. Pleasant Sportsman's Club in Briarcliff Manor and enjoyed trap shooting almost every Sunday.

Leonard is survived by his daughter Debra Lobdell and her husband Robert, his daughter Denise Clerkin and her husband John and his son Leonard T Hodgdon. In addition, he is survived by his grandchildren Amy Clerkin and John Clerkin.  He is also survived by his sisters Thaila Berry, Gail Bagley, Faith Chase and Guyla Eaton and brothers Blaine Hodgdon and Jeff Hodgdon and many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his mother and father, his wife Barbara and his brothers Cecil Thayne "Skip" Hodgdon and Chalmers Gene Goodwin.

Funeral visitation will be held at Waterbury & Kelly Funeral Home on Thursday July 25th at 4pm -8pm.
