Josephine Calabrese passed peacefully on February 3rd, 2021 at The New York States Veterans Home in Montrose, NY. Josephine was born in Brooklyn in 1925 to Santina and Antonio Pisani. Josephine graduated in 1943 from A.B. Davis High School in Mt. Vernon, N.Y., and married Frank Calabrese in 1950. Frank predeceased Josephine in 2016. Josephine had many jobs over the years and her favorite was working at Maryknoll for 25 years where she was the first smiling face you saw when you came into the main rotunda.
Josephine was a devoted and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend to many. She is survived by daughters Linda, husband Brian and grandson Frank and wife Ibiayi, Lori, husband Pete and Grand Daughters, Julie, Kellie, Megan and husband Jimmy, Frank, wife Deborah, Grand Children, Frank and wife Suzy and Great Grandson Frank the 5th, Kristyn, Kayla, and Anthony.
Wake will be held at Waterbury & Kelly Funeral Home at 1300 Pleasantville Rd. Briarcliff Manor at 5pm-7pm on Friday February 5th. Funeral Mass will be held at 10am on Saturday February 6th at St. Augustine Church, 381 N. Highland Ave. Ossining followed by Interment at ST. Augustine's Cemetery in Ossining.
