Jose was born to Rafael and Carmelina Tejada. He was raised in Corona, Queens and Santiago, Dominican Republic until moving to Croton-on-Hudson. He graduated from John Bowne high school in Flushing, NY. Jose was a commercial technician in the restaurant and food & beverage industries. Jose is survived by his loving Parents, his son Justin and daughter Alyssa, as well as his brothers and sisters, Bo (Joanne), Ray (Cathy), Nancy (Paul), Mari and Sandra (Joseph) along with his adoring nieces and nephews Max (Jesse), Erin, Lauren, Chris, Leslie, Eric, Ana, Gaby and Abigail. He also had a special relationship with Taguin and Mercedes. Not to mention a countless number of aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. He was predeceased by his nephew, Jonathan and grandparents.

Jose was a gentle giant with a big heart. A heart too big for him to contain. He enjoyed music, family and friend gatherings and his cigars. He will be sorely missed and remembered forever. May you rest easy until we meet again.
