John Patrick Massey, died peacefully January 29, 2022.  He was born September 3, 1941 in Rockaway, NY to the late John and Anne (Golden) Massey.  John is survived by his loving wife Anne, and three children John Peter Massey, (Whitney), Kristen Massey, and Kara Calandrello (Carmine). He is the proud grandfather to five grandsons, Jack, Carmine, Walker, Nico, and Austin.  Proud surrogate grandfather to Clara and Vivian Massy (Martin/Corinne).

John was predeceased by his brother Martin Massy (Ellen) and sister Anna May DeMillo. (Kenneth).

John attended St. Augustine elementary school and Ossining High School.  He worked for 30 years in the heavy laborers union. John became the Superintendent of St. Augustine Cemetery retiring in 2021 after 25 years of service.  John was an active member of the Army National Guard for 27 years, as well as a lifelong member of Holla Hose Engine 100.  He was sitting President for the last 20 years.  John was an active member of The Old Mill Singers for the last 40 years, enjoying singing and spreading cheer within the community.  He will most be remembered as a family man, avid golfer, loyal friend, and patriot.

John's family will be receiving visitors at Leach and Thomas on Friday February 4th from 3-8pm.  A funeral Mass will be held at St. Augustine's Catholic Church on Saturday February 5th at 11am.
