Jean was a lifelong resident of Ossining, born September 15, 1930. She graduated from OHS in 1948 and SUNY New Paltz in 1952, with a degree in Education. She was a teacher in Ossining and also worked at Robert W. Sundermann Insurance and Real Estate Agency.

Jean and Robert W. Sundermann were married in 1953. He predeceased her in 1997. Jean is survived by her 3 children: Lynne Starr, Robert Sundermann Jr. (Diane) and Barbara Sundermann (Michael Drescher); her four grandchildren: Alex Starr (Victoria Crozier), Ben Starr, Gregory Sundermann (Jessica) and Brian Sundermann (Jordan); her two great grandchildren Aspen and Parker Sundermann; and her brother W. Peter Geissler of Pittsburgh, PA.

Jean enjoyed boating, swimming and knitting. She had a kind and compassionate heart and a love for animals.

Visitation, Waterbury & Kelly- Leach & Thomas Funeral Home on Sunday 10 am to 12 noon where Funeral Services will be held at 12.
