Jack Souza, a 42 year resident of Ossining, NY unexpectedly passed away on April 14th in Atlantic City, NJ with his wife of 50 years, Rose by his side.
Jack was born in Bronxville, NY on November 6th, 1940. He was the son of Jack Souza Sr. and Mary (Simoes), and is survived by his brothers Victor and David Souza.
He was a graduate of Sleepy Hollow High School, class of 1958. He served in the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1961. He joined his father's excavating business and formed Jack Souza & Son Inc., which was active for 46 years. He married Rose Carvalho on September 15th, 1962.
Jack was a lifetime member of Riverside Hose, in Tarrytown, NY he was also a member of the American Legion Post 1597, in Crotonville, NY and a member of local 137 Operating Engineers Union.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife Rose, daughter Deborah Moehring and son Brian. Son-in-law Harry Moehring, daughter in-law Maria Souza, grandchildren Alexandra, Christopher and Aymer. Sister in-Laws Antonia Carvalho, Nazareth Carvalho-Evans, nieces Helena Bippes, Bethany Souza many other family members and close friends.
He is predeceased by his parents and niece Rose Marie Ruivo.

Wednesday 2-4PM & 7-9PM
A Catholic Mass will be held on Thursday April 19th at St. Augustine Church, Ossining NY,
followed by internment at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Phelps Pulmonary Unit in honor of Jack Souza.
