Obituary

Gwendolyn "Gwen" or "Ms. Kelly," was born in Charlottesville, VA on April 21,1941. Gwen was raised by her parents Thelma Kelly, and Oliver Kelly. She was one of four children: Eugene (Lotti), Ida (Warren) and Oliver. She was educated in the Charlottesville school system.

As an adult, Gwen relocated to New York.  She first established herself in Tarrytown and later moved to Ossining.  Gwen worked for many years at Franks Novelty Company in Elmsford (later relocated to Irvington). After leaving that position, she began managing a medical transportation company from her home.  For many years, Gwen also worked as a part time Cashier at local grocery stores. Many local residents would come to know and love Gwen as the "sassy" Cashier who always worked the Express Lane. Gwen will forever be cherished and loved by her sons: Larry Kevin Kelly and Wayne Crandall Kelly (Angie). She leaves behind five grandchildren: Kevin Matthews, Keith Matthews (Kristen), Pasha Kelly, Marcus Kelly and Anita Kelly and five great-grandchildren: Aniya, Brooke, Reid, Macie, Hunter and Peyton.
