IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gilda Lucie
Andronica
March 7, 1934 – March 6, 2025
On March 6, Gilda Lucie Andronica passed away, one day short of her 91st birthday. Jill was predeceased by her parents, Quirino and Mary Zevola, her beloved husband, August Andronica and her cherished brother, Robert Zevola. She was born in New York City and grew up in Dobbs Ferry. Jill was employed by Anaconda Wire for many years, after which she joined several co-workers in forming Underground Systems, Inc. and retired as Secretary of the corporation. Jill began her love affair with the game of tennis early on and continued to play until her eighties. She and Gus hosted many family and friends at their court - their annual Rolling Hills Classic was a highlight of the year. Jill was known for her beautiful gardens and legendary orchids. Their home was a showplace at Christmas and many traditional seven fishes dinners were held there to the delight of their nieces and nephews. Jill's door was always open to all and you could count on coffee and biscotti any time.
She is survived by her loving sisters, Rachel Palermo, Marie Forsyth (Sylvio), and sister-in-law Joyce Zevola, and beloved nieces Roslyn Zevola, Joyce Mary Zevola, Madeline Anderson, Christine Hettinger, Mary Ellen Colontonio, Joanne Schmitt, Leigh Barbelet and cherished nephews Randall Zevola and Christian Forsyth.
