George John Neubauer of Briarcliff Manor, NY entered into heaven on May 1, 2018 at the age of 81. He was born in the Bronx, NY to the late Maria and Max Neubauer on June 23, 1936. His knowledge of Engineering lead him to the City of New York for 35 years. He was the Deputy Administrative Superintendent of the Bronx Highway Operations, Department of Transportation. His passion for antique cars made him a lifelong member of the Automobile Club of America. He loved spending time with his grandkids, listening to classical music and going to garage sales. George was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and proud grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife Joan (nee Fitzgibbons) Neubauer of 57 years, his loving sons George (Jeannie), Robert (Marcia) and daughter Karen (Guy). Also survived by his cherished grandchildren Anthony, Trevor, George, Kimberly, Monica and Max as well as his sisters Joan Young, Agnes Smernoff, Linda Eich and their families. Reposing, Waterbury & Kelly Funeral Home on Friday from 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass, St. Theresa Church, Briarcliff Manor on Saturday at 10 AM. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY to follow.
