George Lanni of Cocoa Beach, FL (formerly of Ossining, NY) died January 3, 2025. He was born in Italy in 1927 to Antonio Lanni and Angelina (Valvona) Lanni. George attended Port Chester, NY schools. He served in the 13th Army Air Force during WWII and was stationed in the South Pacific. He married Catherine Nuara in 1953. He retired from Union Carbide Corp. in Eastview, NY. He was a member of St. Ann's Church, Ossining, and Our Savior's Church in Florida; also the Moose Lodge in Merritt Island, FL, and the American Legion in Ossining, NY.

George enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. He was also very competitive at bowling and shuffleboard during his retirement. He was predeceased by his wife, Catherine, and daughter, Diane Capuozzo. He is survived by his son, Anthony, and wife, Angela, and grandson, Michael Lanni of New York; son-in-law, David Capuozzo; and granddaughter, Sheri Green; Major Brian Green; and great-granddaughters Evlin, Gwyneth, Juliette, and Camille Green of California; as well as his sister, Mary Lanni, of Florida.

Viewing at Leach & Thomas in Ossining, NY, on Friday, January 10, 2025, at 9:00 AM. Mass at St. Ann's Church, Ossining, at 10:00 AM, followed by burial at St. Augustine's Cemetery.
