Eric L. Ploen 80, of Briarcliff Manor, NY died suddenly at home on March 27, 2018. Eric, the son of Fred & Elsie Gatterer Ploen was born in the Bronx, NY on September 7, 1937. Erice leaves behind his wife Linda of Briarcliff Manor, NY his children Dr. Scott (Tracy) Ploen of La Canada, CA, Bradford Ploen of Peekskill, NY, Liam Hutchinson of Peekskill, NY, Lara (Earl Farrier) Hutchinson of Poughkeepsie, NY and his grandchildren Brittany Coccaro of La Canada, CA and Owen Pacchiana of Poughkeepsie, NY. Eric graduated from Newtown High School and had a degree in Economics from the University of the State of New York. He was Associate Director of the Greater New York Hospital Association. He was also affiliated with United Hospital Fund of New York where he was assistant to the President and Director, Special Projects. In 1976 he became Chief Administrative Officer for Affiliated Risk Control Administrators, Inc., where he eventually became President and CEO. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday April 21, 2018 at the Waterbury & Kelly Funeral Home in Briarcliff Manor, NY from 4-8 PM.
