Eleanor Meliti died peacefully on March 26, 2025, at the Putnam Ridge Nursing Home.  Eleanor was born in Brooklyn, New York, on October 10, 1933, the daughter of Marie and Olaf Flom. Eleanor graduated from Ossining High School in 1952.  Eleanor worked at the Anne M. Dorner Middle School as a librarian for many years.  After retirement, Eleanor gladly volunteered many hours at the Veterans Home in Montrose, New York.

Eleanor was predeceased by her husband, Vito Meliti. Eleanor is survived by her son, Claude Krakenberg (Linda) and her daughter, Carol Lang (Paul) and her grandchild, Heather Krakenberg.

Visitation will be held at Leach & Thomas - Waterbury & Kelly Funeral Home, South Highland Avenue, Ossining, New York on Monday, March 31 at 11:00am. A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm. Interment will follow at Dale Cemetery, Ossining, NY.
