Edward J Deitsch Jr passed away at peacefully home on December 19. Edward was born on May 18, 1927. He was married to Barbara M Deitsch 60 years. He lived at the same residence in Scarborough, NY for 53 years, then moved to Yorktown Heights in 2015. Edward was a member of the Sleepy Hollow Country Club for 50 years, a member of Innisbrook Country Club in Florida for 30 years. He was also a member of the American Legion, Rotary Club, and Moose Club. He was a graduate of Scarsdale High School and Syracuse University. He served in the U.S Army and graduated from Officers Candidate School and was retired after 28 years from the Army Reserve with a rank of Lt. Colonel. Edward was in the automobile business for most of his life. He began in the automobile business at Scarsdale Ford in Scarsdale, NY and then was a former owner of Jackson Lincoln Mercury Dealership in Ossining, NY for 25 years. He then worked for Ford dealerships in Mount Kisco, NY and worked in sales at Pleasantville Ford in Pleasantville, NY until his retirement on May 18, 2023 at 96. He was a lifelong avid NY Giants fan and longtime season ticket holder and attended all home games and Superbowls since 1962.He leaves his wife Barbara and two daughters, Laura K Consaga and Donna Santangelo Hall and 5 grandchildren, Alexis Kovacs, Nicole Byfuglin, Anthony Dugan, and beloved Robbie Schartner who passed away tragically in 2016, Tommy Consaga, Katharine Consaga and 9 great grandchildren. Family and friends may call at Waterbury and Kelly Pleasantville Rd., Briarcliff Manor, NY on Thursday from 4- 7:30 pm. Funeral Mass, St. Ann's Church, Ossining, NY on Friday 10 am. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY to follow.
