Edith Rose Beck Kates, 97, on 1/13/2021. Feminist, peace activist, lifelong Unitarian Universalist, child welfare advocate. A feisty, creative, fearless woman forever unafraid to stop and smell the flowers. Mother, grandma, and great- grandma intensely loved by her friends, family, and all who knew her. She is survived by her three children: Michael Kates, Betsy Kates, and Bill Kates, her seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
