Obituary

COLLEEN ANN SULLIVAN of White Plains, New York, daughter of Cornelius and Maureen Sullivan, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 11, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer; her family always by her side and ultimately with her around the clock in her final months at home and Calvary Hospital. Colleen, "Peanut" to her family, was born on May 2, 1964, being the fourth child of Maureen and Neil, both having predeceased Colleen, in faith standing at the gates of Heaven to receive her with open arms.

Colleen attended Annunciation School in Crestwood and Ursuline High School in New Rochelle where she championed the local gymnastics community, sharing her gymnastic prowess during high school by teaching and mentoring young students in the sport. She went on to graduate from the College of Mount Saint Vincent and spent her early career in the financial industry, which afforded her the opportunity to travel the world. She then transitioned into a career in legal administration, and she recently retired from IBM.

Colleen was fiercely devoted to her family - family being her number one priority in life. Colleen is survived by her siblings Gayle, Lori, Kerry, John and Scott and their spouses, James Twomey, Peter Francese, Mark Pohar, Sharon Sullivan and Anissa Sullivan and twelve nieces and nephews, Meaghan (Nick Beard), Michael, and Maureen Twomey, Kristyn (Mark Novak), Shannon (Brian Miska) Sara (Randy Weaver), Sean Pohar, Jack (Dorina Bregu), Sean, Patrick, and Mary Sullivan, and Emily Sullivan, as well as grandnieces Avery Weaver and Merritt Novak and grandnephews Ryan Weaver, Dylan Miska, Baby Boy Miska and Patrick Beard.

Visitation will be on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Waterbury and Kelly Funeral Home, 1300 Pleasantville Road, Briarcliff Manor, New York. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 noon on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Annunciation Church, 470 Westchester Avenue, Crestwood, New York, where Colleen grew up to become the wonderful woman she was throughout her life. Colleen is loved and will be missed deeply by her family and friends and all who had the honor to know her.

In lieu of flowers, Colleen's family asks that you consider making a donation to Calvary Hospital at https://fund.calvaryhospital.org/ways-to-give/memorial-and-tribute-gifts/
