IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Brian M.
Jones
July 2, 1961 – September 24, 2025
Brian M. Jones, age 64, former resident of Briarcliff Manor, NY passed away on September 24, 2025.
Brian was born and raised in New York City. Hence, he had street smarts, charm and a witty sense of humor. Brian was known for his economic analysis skills and his love of ice hockey, model railroad trains and his family.
Brian attended All Hallows High School in the Bronx. He excelled at Social Studies and Ice Hockey and was an All-City Catholic High School Hockey player. He continued playing ice hockey well into his forties. In later years, he was a member of the All Hallows Board of Directors and received the President's Hall of Fame Award for his dedication in guiding the school's strategy.
Brian was very proud of graduating from Columbia University in 1983 with a bachelor's degree in economics. Additionally, he earned an MBA in Finance from New York University in 1989. After graduation, the boy from the Bronx took his forecasting and analytical skills to Wall Street where he excelled. His career culminated at the Federal Home Loan Bank of NY where he served as the bank's Chief Economist.
In his spare time, Brian played with model railroad trains and dreamed of the train displays that he would make some day. In the meantime, as his sons grew up, he played on the floor with them building Thomas the Tank Engine layouts and telling stories about how to be a "Useful Engine".
He leaves behind his wife, Vivian, his two sons, Michael and Trevor, his brother Charles and another brother and sister. He loved and lived life with enthusiasm. Memories of him will always be cherished.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to honor Brian to the Inner-City Scholarship Fund of the Archdiocese of NY.
