Betty Jane Barrows 90, a lifelong resident of Ossining, NY, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2022 in the comfort of her home. She was born on June 21, 1932 to the late George and Wilma (nee Olson) Sherwood in Ossining, NY. Betty graduated from Ossining High School in 1950. She married Carl Barrows on Oct. 3, 1954 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Ossining, NY. Carl predeceased her in 2013. Professionally Betty was a teacher's aid for the Briarcliff Manor School District until her retirement in 1994. Betty is survived by her two daughters Jan and Judy Barrows, as well as her three grandchildren Stephen and Robert Belcher and Karley Ryan. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday 11 AM at the Trinity Episcopal Church, Ossining, NY. Interment at Dale Cemetery, Ossining, NY will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer's Association in Betty's name would be appreciated.
