Barbara Calabrese McGrath of Briarcliff Manor, New York and loving wife of Thomas (Ted) McGrath peacefully passed away at the age of 80. She was born in East Rochester, New York on January 23, 1936. She was the daughter of Rocco and Rose Calabrese.She was a graduate of East Rochester High School and attended the Eastman School of Music after graduation. After a successful year modeling, she began a career at Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, New York. Barbara married Ted in 1960 and they began their lives together living in Chicago and Los Angeles, where she also worked for Eastman Chemical, finally settling in Rochester. Barbara raised three children, Tom, Stacy and Clare.Since 1993 Ted and Barbara have been living in Briarcliff Manor, New York. Barbara is survived by her devoted husband, Thomas (Ted) McGrath Jr., her son Thomas E. McGrath III and his wife Margaret, and daughters Stacy M. Stauffer and Clare M. Lawson and her husband Josh Lawson. Barbara has six grandchildren, Grace, Quinn, Sara, Maggie, Tom and Teddy who love her very much.She leaves behind her sisters, Catherine Acciari, Norma Basile and her husband Nick and Rosalie Beckwith, her brother Rocco Calabrese and his wife Mary Ellen. She is survived by sisters-in-law MaryAnne and Bill Dempsey, Susan and Donald Horner, and Eileen McGrath. She has numerous nieces and nephews who will also miss her greatly.She was predeceased by her brother, Carmen and her sisters, Dominica, Mary and Mikayla, her brothers-in-law, Paul McGrath, Eugene Acciari and George Ciarelli. She was a lovely lady with many wonderful qualities. Barbara loved to sing and to dance and was a great tennis player. She enjoyed living in Briarcliff Manor. She loved her house, her friends, her book club and her favorite restaurants. She was active at St. Thersea's Church as well as Phelps Memorial Hospital . Barbara had a terrific sense of humor and was loved and appreciated by all who knew her. Barbara was quiet but gregarious; She was the best.
